As long as he makes a semi-statement this primary, he has his political career laid out for him.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5194608964536238003.post-35642521388805958962008-01-22T17:54:00.000-06:002008-01-22T17:54:00.000-06:00Would the identity of GE Capital, as part of the R...Would the identity of GE Capital, as part of the Rezko case, by any chance require a back-up candidate just in case? They won't have the census numbers until after the elections, and there is no way the State of Illinois will be able to move that quickly. But Jay may be looking statewide again.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5194608964536238003.post-71165732934455112162008-01-22T12:53:00.000-06:002008-01-22T12:53:00.000-06:00So, TA, I guess those socks are still in a mess in...So, TA, I guess those socks are still in a mess in that drawer! I also tuned in for this 'event'. I'm not sure what's up with Carol Marin, but her puff ball questions were not at all what I thought she'd pose to Dan and Jay. It was, at best, a gigantic yawn, nothing more.

I think that Jay IS setting his sights on 2010. Sure, he'd love to win this one right now. What I'm seeing and hearing is that he wants to come back to IL. This looked like a good chance to make it happen. We know that he had looked into running for a state-wide office back in 2000. That didn't materialize. I'm thinking that he's going to assess his numbers on 2/6 and then make a firm commitment about his future.
Re-districting will be a factor in the 2010 campaign. Who knows, TA, but I think that Jay is just warming up for the future and chalking up this experience to just that - experience.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
