Obama Thinks All White People Are Scared of Black People: How's That For Moving Beyond The Racial Divide?

Not much time to write today, but I couldn't let this slide: Barack Obama apparently thinks that all white people are scared of black people. In a Philly radio interview discussing his reference to his white grandmother in the "Philadelphia Speech," Obama stated:

“The point I was making was not that my grandmother harbors any racial animosity — she doesn’t,” he said. “But she is a typical white person who, you know, if she sees somebody on the street that she doesn’t know, there is a reaction. That has been bred into our experiences that don’t go away and that sometimes come out in the wrong way.” (emphasis mine)

So, let me get this straight--the man who wants to lead us above the great racial divide thinks nothing of broadly stereotyping an entire class of people based only on their race. Swell.

More on this at Backyard Conservative.

HOW TO HOPELESSLY JAM YOUR INBOX: Set up a Google Alert for "typical white person" and watch the alerts roll in. This could be worse than the original problem with Jeremiah Wright that Obama has been desperately trying to talk his way out of for the past week.

FRIDAY FUNNY: Saw this picture over at Flying Debris and wanted to share--it's hysterical.

I liked the picture, but did you see the Pastor Manning video sermon clip, "Obama's a Mac Daddy?" That one will burn your ears off! (Pastor Manning preaches from Harlem, from where he supports the Clintons due to Bill Clinton's emphasis on redevlopment of Harlem)

Publia, I looked at the video link in your comment. I will admit if I see Pastor Manning on the street, I will cross over because he scares me!

Typical, typical . . .

I am all for freedom of speech, and from all appearances it is alive and well here in the USA. Good sense is another thing entirely.

McCain +8 in Rassmuseen.

Seals backed away from Lieberman (Joe who?). Watch him back away from Barack as Barack continues to stand with Rev. Wright.

Hey Dan, why no statement against Wright? Cat got your...?

Barack is correct, if this blog is any indication. White people are definitely scared of black people...especially black people running for office.

I guess anyone in your world anyone that uses their freedoms not to vote for Obama is a "racist".

No wonder Barack is dropping in the polls.

TA:

Anyone notice that Rep. Schakowsky and her indicted-felon husband, Robert Creamer, will be training party workers at the Deerfield Library March 25th?

Lets see -- will they teach people how to evade federal taxes? Schakowksy's husband was convicted of that.

Or will they teach people about federal wire fraud? Her husband got federal convicted of that too.

Rep. Jan Schakowsky - a member of the "Blagojevich Wing" of the Illinois Democratic Party.

Thanks, Don, for pointing out what the 10th Dems "forget" to notice when they invite teachers to their University of learning under the auspices of Lauren Beth Gash! Jan and her felon husband, Bob Creamer, line up nicely with Stu Levine and his cronies. Maybe they'll include Stu, Blago and a few more notables to teach how to win elections and then how to govern. What's interesting is that Jan signed those tax returns but somehow avoided jail time. Odd, isn't it?

"Typical white person"- I can't think of anything more insulting in life and sad that Obama thinks this way. I thought this guy wanted to be a uniter?

Is a public library supposed to be used for such political purposes? Or is this one of those pretend "Democrats and Independents" thing?

Typical of Democrats. Ethics second.

Did anyone notice the article in Pioneer last Thursday about the 10th district candidates' stances on Iraq? For the first time that I have read, the green candidate got the most ink. Seals is going to have a harder time claiming to be the anti-war candidate in 2008. Is he running on anything else?

The state party HAS to force Seals to comment on Wright after all the crap Republicans took in 2006 for Mark Foley and Tom DeLay. Black separatism doesn't fly in Winnetka and it's disgusting Mark has to take heat on Bush and this guy gets a free pass for Obama's defense of Reverend Wright.

It's a joke that everyone in the state can figure out that these 4 ILGOP congressional seats hang in the balance of how well obama does on november 3, and here we have a great opportunity to take obama and these candidates down several notches and nothing is happening. Are we too afraid of losing our clout and contracts?

This just goes along with the fact that no one is seriously hitting Seals on all this money he's getting from the anti-Israel nutroots, and downtown lobbyists.

Pathetic.

Seals is underwhelming in more ways than on.

In coming days you will see his donors back with Kirk.

You will also see profile pieces from former members of the campaign...

Honestly i just think his being honest and real. But let me guess americans are used to being lied to. I do really think white people are scared of black people. You know they feel it deep inside when they see a black person near. When I think it should be the other way around! but thats just me. His just being real so just let him be him! REAL!
