And the GOP has done a great deal of decimation of math in schools. So that analogy doesn't work. You do realize there has no major bump because of the Ryan add.
Your pathetic buddy Louis is over on his own blog, lying and then refusing to post comments calling him on it.
As to this post, it's down to one word now, is that it? Is that all you got? One word? Why not, 'Bailout'? Ryan said he refused it, then didn't? Why not "Vouchers"? Ryan's social security plan is a joke and would never even pass the current congress. Or, why not, "Rape"? Because apparently Ryan and the GOP platform have a bit of trouble even defining it. Why not just, "Pathetic".
the election is 23423421231231 percent about obama's handling of the the economy which he has failed at horribly. Because of this stupid schneider is running goofy ads on gay rights issues-pup never did this, duckworth is playing massive defense and I think Obama is headed to a huge upset defeat this fall.
For the down ballot candidates, I know it's rough with redistricting and obama thanks to the idiot brady/plummer ticket, but this is a year when you really can push through and I think a number of you will be really pleasantly surprised the first tuesday in november.
Ryan does nothing for me. I think he's a fraud for backing bush's spending then turning around and calling himself mr. fiscal hawk, but with obama showing that outside of chicago his magic has run out, he looks in like flynn.
good luck to king louis astaves the ellen slayer on teh new blog. I've read your stuff for 6 years and this is long overdue. Good luck!
Schneider...really? The primary is over dude. Your first ad is on LGBT discrimination? That's how you are introducing yourself to the independent voters in the 10th? With redistricting, Obama at the top of the ticket, and no Kirk campaigning for Dold or on the ballot itself, you are literally being handed a seat in Congress. All you have to do is shake hands 6 days a week for 10 weeks, show concern for jobs & the economy, and run in the middle.
It occurred to me (later than most novice political observers I'm sure) that it's not that the 10th has a well educated electorate which keeps sending an R to Washington in a D profile district...it's that the D's execute a horrible playbook. Seals didn't campaign the last 4 weeks because he thought he had the election in the bag and didn't want to slip up. Schneider is quickly going down the path too of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
Dude...really? Like which "consultant" is actually earning a paycheck offering you that strategic guidance. (Not to mention that the district is socially moderate...which is quite different than socially liberal or activist.)
This guy is being handed a seat in Congress and will be the next D to wake up the day after the election scratching his head and asking...what happened.
Here's a clue...copy Dold on everything...just paste your name / face over his. Have you seen his brilliant ads?
Louis, you kill me. Don't ever equate yourself to Rich Miller. I've known Rich Miller for well over a decade. He is a friend of mine, and you sir, in every way, shape and form are no Rich Miller. I would laugh harder at your post if it didn't nauseate me so. We're done, Louis. You're blog is the worst example of self-aggrandizement, coupled with this weak fear of anything other than the echo chamber I've ever seen. I am deleting the bookmark ... now!
Off topic but even in sickness Senator Kirk a rising global force making the Russians quake in their boots. What did Dan Seals do today, Ellen?
#26 Mark Kirk
Once the counsel on the House International Relations Committee and an Illinois congressman after that, Mark Kirk has deployed to Afghanistan on multiple occasions as a naval reserve intelligence officer and has emerged as a leading Senate voice on Russia and the Middle East. A skeptic of the U.S-Russian reset and an opponent of cooperation with the Kremlin on nuclear arms control, Kirk and fellow Senator Jon Kyl were once described by a Russian diplomat as "monsters of the Cold War." Despite being sidelined by a stroke in January, he has been quietly marshaling support for harsher sanctions on Iran. The junior senator, who filled Obama's vacant seat in 2010, is a member of the powerful Appropriations Committee and appears to be positioning himself to be the next big foreign-policy heavyweight in the GOP, with the imminent departure of Kyl and Dick Lugar from the Senate.
FOKLAES, if you knew anything about the economy, you know the ship has been righted and we are heading out of the storm. All economic indicators show that. Need based agencies are beginning to see a down turn in requests for help. Area food pantries are reporting less recipients. Home prices are on the rise again. New cars sales are climbing. We just need to stop shipping jobs oversees in the name of greed and Americans will go back to work again. I don't think R2 are going to be able to run on the economy and that is why the social issues garner front page news. Yet the politicos know that Independents are not going to align with extreme social issues. I see a lose lose situation ahead.
Just call me Team America. "TA" for short. I'm a lawyer (but a nice guy nevertheless), family man, moderate Republican and active in local politics, but someone who tries to keep an open mind and a healthy respect for differing views. While I may disagree with what you say, I will defend to the death your right to say it.

TA, they sure are getting touchy this election! I'm still moderating posts. Rich Miller does it. So will I. My rules are no different from Miller's.
Anonymous 8/22 @ 7:18
"Forward" is actually 17 (as in 1917.)
It was the slogan/saying of the Bolshevicks during the Russian Revolution.
Seems appropriate for Obama.
