Dan Seals Gives "The Finger" Photo Caption Contest

We like to have fun every once in a while with Dem candidate Dan Seals and some goofy photos we find every now and again while he's off on the campaign trail trying to unseat Congressman Mark Kirk here in IL-10.

With my usual nod to Capitol Fax Blog, here's our Friday Dan Seals photo caption contest. I thought this one was especially interesting given the odd gesture by Seals, and the freaked-out look of the lady to the right. This was taken at some fundraiser in Lincolnshire, the same suburb whose mayor recently endorsed Mark Kirk over Seals due to Seals' inane gas-for-votes stunt.

Have fun with this, but please, people, keep your entries 'clean.' This is still a family blog, and I don't want to have to spend the whole day deleting over-the-top captions...

"So, I said to Michelle [Obama], here pull this! Isn't that funny? Oh, she thought it was a riot! She promised to come back to Chicago to fundraise for me at least 9 or 10 more times."

Hillary? Out! Now!

"And that over there is the toilet where you can flush your tax dollars away if you elect me and my Dems. We even cleaned it for you first, and we promise that your future taxes will go towards even more cleanings."

Joe Lieberman? I put his name on all my campaign stuff last time but now I forgot who he is.

Dan's apparently been dumped by national democrats who no longer think he can win.

DCCC reserves ad time in 31 districts

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has reserved nearly $35 million on television advertisements in 31 House districts in for the fall campaign, offering a sneak preview of the central campaign battlegrounds and the party’s most vulnerable incumbents.

Ads will begin airing in early September and early October, according to documentation obtained by Politico.

By reserving television time for the fall campaign early on, the DCCC gets a discounted rate on often pricey advertising buys. If a race becomes less competitive, they can get their money refunded — occasionally with a small penalty assessed — or air additional ads in the same media market.

The list is indicative of the ever-expansive playing field for House Democrats; the DCCC reserved $22.5 million of air time in seats currently held by Republicans. Some of the races they’re scheduled to be airing ads in, such as the seats of retiring Reps. Steve Pearce (R-N.M) and Kenny Hulshof (R-Mo.), are solidly Republican.

The committee is also spending $1 million to advertise against Rep. Tom Feeney (R-Fla.), $1.5 million against freshman Rep. Tim Walberg (R-Mich.), $1.6 million against Rep. Robin Hayes (R-N.C.) and $1.1 million against Rep. Joe Knollenberg (R-Mich.). All those seats have been in Republican hands for over a decade.

The list also indicates that there are quite a few Democrats who could use financial support down the stretch. The committee is spending $10.8 million to protect its vulnerable incumbents.

Democrats receiving over $1 million in support are: Reps. Baron Hill (D-Ind.), Nancy Boyda (D-Kan.), Nick Lampson (D-Texas), Harry Mitchell (D-Ariz.) and Tim Mahoney (D-Fla.)

Not that I am selling my house, should I live in Hyde Park where I grew up or Milwaukee where my family works?

Has Seals jumped on the Second Amendment bandwagon yet? Perhaps he could copy Senator Obama who has now supported every side of numerous policy issues.

No, see, I used to be against drilling, then Dick told me to be for it. Then I had second thoughts and asked my congresswoman, Jan, and she said that drilling was bad. Her husband Bob told me to avoid being convicted of a felony, which was not very helpful. So, I asked Rosty what to do, but he was too busy working with young people. Finally, Rahm told me to do what voters in the 10th wanted, or he'd kill me and bulldoze my house. So, I guess I should find some 10th District voters. Do you know any? I'd really like to talk to some!

Hey jerk --

Seals is a public figure who's photo can be posted without repercussion. By what authority do you post the photo of an apparently unsuspecting woman?

Hey Anon 11:55- Is "jerk" really the best you can do? Maybe you ought to check out this blog, which is where I got the photo. Do you REALLY think TA was invited to a Seals fundraiser and was going around snapping pictures for publication without the consent of those at the event? If you have an issue with the photo being posted anywhere on the Internet, you better take it up with "Blue Catapult" who posted the photo originally.

Next time you call someone a jerk, maybe you ought to stop and think. And, maybe you ought to go back to Ellen's Blog where you belong, if the best you can do is name-calling. They seem to like that over there.

Blue Catapult is a d.c. based pac located at a 21st street location adjacent to K Street, run by 3rd tier political hacks who can't raise serious money. Figures they would be backing Dan.

And again commerce is where you stuff political appointees that can't function, interns there like Dan are not considered employees or serious workers.

Dan "worked for the Commerce Department."

He was an Intern.

Dan "worked for Senator Lieberman."

Dan was an Intern and Sen. Lieberman supports Kirk.

Dan - stop misleading us.
