How Can We Miss Dan Seals If He Won't Go Away?

Dan Seals. 2006. 2008. 2010. What's changed?

Not much, at least about Seals. As far we can tell, Seals has spent his time since the last election just hanging around.

He hasn't moved into the 10th District. He hasn't done any significant community work. He has no real accomplishments. Once again, he's running for Congress on the strength of the fact he ran for Congress. Twice before. And lost.

He likes to say he got 47% of the vote last go-round with Congressman Mark Kirk (who, as we all know, announced with fanfare that he will run for the U.S. Senate this cycle). Not really too impressive when you consider Barack Obama took the 10th District with 61%.

At least he's not claiming to be a Northwestern University Professor anymore (now, he's just a 'lecturer').

How about this for a slogan: "Dan Seals. Just Give Me A Shot - I Can't Keep Running Forever."

Or, he might want to say that he CAN run forever. You have to feel a bit sad for this twit who can't seem to find his place in society. You make a great point, TA when you say that he still hasn't found something to do in the way of public service, nothing that helps put bread on the table other than his lecturer spot at Northwestern every now and then. Up against a Julie Hamos, Terry Link or even a Michael Bond it would appear that Seals might have to keep on going to 2012. Even his best buddy, Ms. Gill, has said she's not interested in supporting him, especially if Michelle Feldman gets into the race. Thanks for bringing a smile to my face this morning by printing that great old photo of Dan, the always running man. Ugh.

Where did ellen say she's not supporting pup?

The DCCC will not back dan a 3rd time. You have to think after the election they did an assessment, looked at the 2.3 million they wasted on the guy and asked how many seats could we have picked up with that. Add in what they gave him in 2006 and thats 2 cycles they've blown energy on him. He will get 30 percent in a primary, force hamos to waste all her dough and give us lines of attack on her. Then he'll get a real job and join LBG, goodman, perritt, phil torf in the losers club.

Gill made that statement on Daily Kos, her new posting site. So much for friends, right!

Hey TA maybe Dan can borrow a line from his mentor and old friend who now lives in that large, white house in DC. Yes, I can. Hard to believe that this doofas is out there again trying to get a paying job at the expense of the taxpayers in this district. Stranger things have happened, to be sure, but this guy thinks that it will be walk in the park without Mark Kirk on the other side. I think he's clueless.

Dan Seals has been unemployed for SIX years

He's had a job, getting his ellen kicked by us.

Side note, my preffered choice for the race to replace Mark seems to have backed out despite backing from high ranking national party figures. This is a dissapointment and means I am unlikely to get involved in the race in the primary.
