Just wanted to let everyone know that we passed the 50,000 hit mark early this morning. As we've said before, for some blogs, 50K is nothing, but considering our fairly narrow focus, to get to that level in slightly over one year is something I'm proud of. So, thanks for reading, and hats off to you, the readers -- you guys make this the best political blog on the North Shore.

I am honored to be 50,001! If Kirk decides to run statewide...I can promise the right team will be assembled with a flood of financial support nationwide....his campaign history is one of superior tactics, resources and success. I look forward to following Kirk wherever he decides to lead. Too early for sambuca?

Just to expand further... Regardless of Kirk's decision down the road, people should be exposed to the types of comments and focus that were successful for you at TA. 2010 is so important for the State of Illinois and people all across the state should have the benefit of your voice in what will surely be a healthy competition of ideas.

I agree with the previous comment. You should start focusing more on statewide issues as well. It is important for Republicans to rediscover their voice over the the next two years, and be able to come out united and ready to roll in 2010, and the best way to accomplish that is to get ideas out there.
So who won the prize for the 50,000th hit? And what was the prize?

Suggestions for the blog.
1. Make it so that we can post stories and links. right now it cuts them off in comments.
2. Start focusing early on candidates for next cycle so that we can support them. Comrade Catwoman's local schakowsky stasi unit is pathetic but they do get their karen May's and link's and other nutpeople to coffees ect.
3. More mocking of catwoman. I enjoy this.
4. highlight other friendly right wing local bloggers by allowing them to crosspoast. I get google alerts for a division street dude and some woman in wilmette as well as others. We want to see them emerge as mini-ta's so that we have more people to direct attacks on the democrats with.
