Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to all those who are celebrating today!

Take a break and enjoy some time with your families for a few days. All the other blogs seem to be doing the same, so we'll be back in a few.

We'll need some time off to get ready for this next month!

Peace, TA

Merry Christmas to you and your family, TA. That's a beautiful tree, indeed. I think we all need a break before the start of the crazy season that's going to being in earnest right after the New Year. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and for taking the proper time out right now.

Thanks Anon 12:13- Mrs. TA gets all the credit for the tree. All I do is haul it out of the basement every year...

was out on the north shore by sheridan road this pm. a few seals (in the 9th district of course and by the way aaron lawlor you might want to put a statement out explaining that the recent failed terrorist attack reaffirms the need for gitmo north to be nixed, pal) and only sporadic signs dold and coulson. saw no green, friedman or richardson. More for the state rep race in haman hamosland than everything else combined. there is a dold committeeman in east winnetka who is also a mckenna fan-he's got about 6 signs up. coulson has a few by the minimall area on sheridan road where they just finished roadwork.

Interesting not that much for governor or any other office.

Team, for the tree, I recommend getting it from the winnetka boy scouts. fine young bucks and it's a worthy cause as long as they aren't pup people.

Amazing that Hamos has put in such a nonchalant effort so far. What is she waiting for?

FOKLAES - Are you still in town? Any way TA and I can meet you for coffee?

Baxters mom.

I'll try. I have to spend time with my family first.

I was thrilled to see the latest terrorist or freedom fighter as catlady calls them, was a highly educated young man.

You'll recall that veteran foreign policy hand dan seals told the tribune that the way to win the war on terror was not with things like killing terrorists and capturing their hideouts, but by building schools. What the pup forgets of course is that the vast majority of terrorists are highly educated people like arafat (who was an enigineer if memory serves) who are pissed at their governments.

so in essence pup doesn't want to kill terrorists he wants to grow more of them. Perhaps his chief beekeeper advisor from that renown academic institution goucher can tell us how this makes sense.

In 06 pup's campaign was dumb and dumber, in 08the sequel dumber and dumbest. This year it's hard to find a 3rd set of words to describe it.

Why on Earth should a County Commissioner, especially one so inexperienced, possessed of so little experience other than a minor functionary in the office of a Congressman who, given his tenure in office, should have had a role other than that of a minority bleeter, with such a mediocre educational background, and with a far greater interest in hair tinting and surfboards like Aaron Lawlor have anything to say about national security, and why would we listen anyway? Oh, I know why, because Lawlor looks upon county government as just a mere waypoint on his journey to Congress and beyond. Unfortunately, the party's over in November. He doesn't stand a chance.

Anonymous said...

lawlor can't get press releases right. I don't think he's headed to congress, although looking at the lack of coherence coming from them lately perhaps he's got a shot as a d em. I also strongly doubt he could beat bean and her special interest money or comrade jan and her red army. Elk used to have him send missives out on issues, that's why I noted him for national security.

After 2012 redistricting we will see the GOP screwed here even more (thanks andy mckenna! and hastert, we really appreciated the socialist health care reform we just got because you governed like a drunken sailor) when the democrats redraw the congressional map. Mark had hastert to protect him in 2000 and because there was a gop governor the map was made so that mark got some more gop turf. That won't happen again. If the democrats were smart they would make some of their deep blue districts that they win 95-2 congressional districts where they win 79-20 and put all the gop turf into roskam and biggerts district with the rest scattered among the safe dem areas like comrade jan's turf.

I also see the gop getting whacked in 2012 largely because we can't win suburban areas anymore (when pup is a threat you know you are screwed) and because the party elite is intellectually exhausted and mentally braindead. If you question this, ask yourselves how many decent ideas you have heard from the gubernatorial candidates and whether you have read a single story about any sort of effort nationally or locally to engage in the fundamental rethinking we need to undertake to have the ideas and leaders necessary to govern again.

FOKLEAEs, we should get coffee as well, if you've got the time. Merry Christmas, all.

Foklaes, why don't you lay off the disgusting comments that seem to flow so easily from your poison pen. Get over it. Why do you feel so hell-bent on destroying Republicans who have no idea who you are, why you go after good guys like Lawlor. You seem to take an awful lot of mean 'pills' that have no rhyme or reason to truth. If I didn't know better I'd say that you're just an angry guy who pens smart aleck remarks about decent people who get out there and do many good things. By the way, Foklaes, what have YOU done to make this a better place? I don't know you, don't care to meet you or have coffee or anything else with you. Save your nasty remarks for those who deserve them. And here I thought TA was reserving this time and this post to civility and kind thoughts right now. No such luck. Lots of flights are leaving for DC, why not get on one today.

WOW Arie Friedman is fu****. He accepted the endorsement of Kirk hater radio shock jock Jack Roesser, who is the source of Andy Martin's radio commercial that says Kirk is homosexual.

(see endorsements on bottom right of the page)

Hows that endorsement doing for you now, doc?

Anon 11:05 Somebody is getting nervous of Friedman. Grassroots. You should probably also post a link to the IR poll which has him and RINO Beth well out front.

Oh bummer. The news about Kirk being gay is getting some press.

Andy Martin, Jack Roeser, all other certifiable lunatics and morons should NOT find a place on this Blog. Please stop giving them any more attention since these poor excuses for human beings are looking for more publicity. Don't give in to them or to this really disgusting topic. Don't aid and abet them.

The kirk is gay stuff is worthy of catwoman. Freidman needs to learn politics is a small business enterprise not a lemonade stand.

FOKLAEAS didn't destroy the gop, the leadership (mckenna, hastert, kjellander, cellini) and their minions did. I happen to be a student of history and as such am aware that those that forget history are doomed to repeat it. There's no point in coming back weak only to be blown out back out to sea for a generation as democrats nearly were in 1993-4 until Hastert blew up the party. I don't pick on all republicans, I think team america, hamilton chang, king louis, baxters mom, dan segrue, keith gray, ed sullivan and others are the future of the party. I am just not a thrill up my leg about a new generation of daley loving bums like lahood, mckenna and hastert.

Tikun, the words of wisdom you need go beyond coffee or a pint of Guinness. I would recommend signing on to the Kirk for senate email list, reading team america's blog, joining the Republican Jewish coalition and fumigating yourself of all the anti-israel/anti-america (even france hates obama now-so much for his apology tours)/socialist teachings and connections you have made in your budding democrat party career.

Redistricting in 2012 is a major concern. If you go back to what mr. delay did in 2005, the first democrat to call for revenge was rahm emanuel and he was talking about Illinois. The gop is going to pick up at least 7 seats with redistricting as seats move from democrat states like pa, il, ohio, michigan, mass, ny to the sun belt. the democrats will need to play catchup and a state that has a 10-8 dem to gop majority but votes 6.5-3.5 for dems will be a fat target.

Um, dude, the source quoted in the Martin commercial was Jack Roeser, not Tom Roeser. And he denies the quote...

Tom Roeser is a well respected conservative and has a very legit radio show.

I meant to add:

Friedman was endorsed by Tom Roeser - not Jack.

Facts are troubling things...

So, is that a no, mate? Darn... you're always in DC, I was hoping that a rare trip back to the Tenth might supply an opportunity to meet a frequent interlocuter face-to-face. Next time, maybe?

tikun,

I wish you good tidings in your second semester. one of your professors was on chicago tonight this pm, and he raised some good points about a big part of the failure for the almost happened mo-town massacre this weekend being the federal beuracracy and the turf wars that continue to go on-ask mark about the pentagon taking over the foreign policy world. As a lefty who believes in government I suggest you look at that as a potential source of study. if you want people to trust big government it has to work and its not working for your party anywhere right now, at the working level (analyst grunts) or the principal level-your hacks in springfield, the city, county and d.c.

My family would put me on triple secret probation if I told them I was missing family time (aka remember why we all live 1,000 miles away from each other) to see random blogger people. I am sure we'll meet one of these days at one of the many receptions heralding the election of senator kirk.
