State Senator Dan Duffy Rails Against Tax Increase

My friend Dan Duffy rails against the tax increase on the floor of the Illinois Senate. As he notes, this bill was rammed through in the lame duck session and was even greater than the dreaded Gross Receipts Tax that was thankfully defeated. We may have lost out in the end, though, it appears.

Gee, Dan, if you were so interested in cutting spending, why did you vote no last year to the Senate's own expense reduction act. Perhaps posturing was more important than saving the taxpayers money.

And watch out when this yahoo approaches an intersection! No one is safe when Danny-boy gets behind the wheel or the microphone.

looks good, hopefully one of these north suburban state house folks will break through on a statewide ticket in 2014 now that it's pretty clear the brady/edgar/ryan moment era has passed.

Dan as a business owner yourself, can you tell us how you would run your business if Moody listed your business at "junk bond" status? It was a necessary evil that on one talks about.

love the new aggression out of senator kirk in the senate with a politico piece this morning talking up his energy and pissing off clowns like Claire McCaskill and mark begich of alaska. Politico used to run is kirk dead stories and now it's about how he's acclimating in the senate.
