Senator Terry Link's Campaign Worker Pleads Guilty in Petition Fraud Case (UPDATED)

This just in...

The Daily Herald is reporting that Kenneth Davison, one of the two campaign workers hired by State Senator Terry Link's campaign to pass nominating petitions last year (some of which included the "signatures" of dead people), has plead guilty to nine counts of perjury.

More as this develops...

UPDATED: Here's a short article from the News-Sun.

TA, you've got to love it when "officials" say that Link was not involved in this. So I guess these guys were just well meaning volunteers who just knew that Terry Link was one special guy, someone worth volunteering for in the last election. And pigs fly. Link fits the image of what we have in Springfield. We are now known world-wide as the State that has corruption in the drinking water. Ah, but know this: we ARE the State the has produced the
44th President of the US, a messiah type guy. Go figure.

Link now has two convicted felons as his campaign operatives -- and he tells people that he is waiting for Hyde to survive election, then to resign before he dies so Link and Coubvall can run Waukegan.

Pray for our city.

Remember when local Democrats such as Kathy Ryg and Karen May stayed quiet for six years during the corruption of the Blagojevich Administration? Remember how it wasn't until Blago was arrested that they finally expressed outrage?

Now we have yet more evidence of corruption in the campaign of the Chairman of the Lake County Democratic Party. And once again, these same local Democrats are awfully quiet.

Congratulations!

The Illinois Appellate Defender's office has just endorsed the ability for candidates and elected officials to hire the undereducated, uninformed, and mentally ill to roundtable signatures with no consequence to the elected official or candidate as long as they throw their campaign workers, such as Kenneth Davison, under the bus. This is social injustice at its finest - but Kenneth Davison has no advocates to fight on his behalf...

So Democrat Elected Officials and Candidates - go on and hire the Kenneth Davison's of the world, do not teach them how to circulate petitions, do not tell them the implications of their actions. Simply provide them a buck a signature and allow them to "get the signatures" in exchange for cash. If they get busted - just throw them under the bus...

And then tell your constituents you "care about the poor, the disenfranchised, the uneducated"...

Just remember, you cannot run and you cannot hide forever....karma exists....
