26th Senate Race: Dan Duffy Hits Bill Gentes With "Liar" Mailer

Wow, you can tell we're in the home stretch as the political mailers are flying hot and heavy. The latest one is from the ILGOP for GOP 26th Senate candidate Dan Duffy, hitting Duffy's opponent Bill Gentes on his lie to the Daily Herald about being employed when he wasn't. Brutal.

Check it out here.

Gotta love the photo of Gentes kicking back in sunglasses, though.

A quick first glance and I thought I was staring at a thinner Michael Moore. Yikes. Yes, TA, you can tell we're in the home stretch with the down and dirty stuff all over the place. 12 days and counting. I can't ever recall a worse election cycle than this one. It will go down in history for all the wrong reasons.

Absolutely ended Dan's campaign, the cover of fortune was well timed and Dan looked dull. He really looks like a 9th district congressman.

Princess Nudelman made Saturday Night Live this evening!

Meantime I have been predicting the obama hammer for months;

IL-10 Mark Kirk Lean Republican to Toss Up

The key to this race may be the extent to which the DCCC or Democrat Dan Seals use taped endorsement messages from Sen. Barack Obama to get over the top.

Democrats would love nothing more than to knock Kirk out before he could become a serious Senate candidate in 2010 if Obama wins and an appointed Democratic successor is up for a full term. While Kirk can no longer be considered a clear favorite in the race, he remains in slightly better shape than some other GOP moderates in marginal districts.
