Keith Gray Hammers Terry Link on Ties to Blagojevich

In the wake of GOP State Senate candidate Keith Gray's endorsement by the Chicago Tribune, and Gray's mailer hitting Link on his graveyard voting issues, this "puppet" mailer hit the 30th Senate District mailboxes this week.

In case you missed it, the Chicago Tribune reported this week that Blago's approval rating is worse even than President Bush's. In fact, even the DCCC has thrown Blago under the bus.

Download the complete mailer here.

TA, you made my day. The desginers of this mail piece should get an award. I damn near drove off the road when I heard Blagojevch's comment that his 'rating' had little to do with his performance as Governor but more to do with the stat of our economy. Dillusional? I wish I had his kind of confidence. Anyway, thanks TA for brigtening my day. This is humorous and true and sad for those of us who live here.

The pajama politicians have apparently conducted two polls in which 9th district resident Dan Seals is ahead of dear congressman.

I'm going to take time off of work this week to help mark, hopefully we'll all go all out to prevent jan seals from becoming our rep.

Kos released a poll showing Kirk winning 47-41. Stupidly, they released that and now cooked up another poll that their memo says has an "astronomical margin of error."

Kirk people say they are up 8 and Seals has fallen to below 40 (hence Seals's new postive ads)...

dceyes, I hope that you're right in this but I'm a bit leery of all polls right now. I'm leery of the Kirk polls and the Daily Kos, for sure. We do know that this district has been innundated with Seals volunteers in every community in the district. There are Seals precinct walkers in Palatine, in Arlington Heights and yes, in Lake Forest. They are everywhere. Kirk has precinct walkers, to be sure, but not in the numbers seen by Seals. Does it mean they'll suddently get out and vote for Seals? Who knows. But one thing is certain. We need to get everyone who has a few hours to give to the Kirk campaign to either make phone calls, walk in precincts, volunteer on election day or do whatever they can to contact every single voter we can find to encourage them to get out and vote for Mark.
Haven't read much more about all the cases of irregular voter registrations in Lake County. I hope that TA has found out something on that score.

TA

I went to early vote today at the Lake County DOT facility in Libertyville. There was a line out the door waiting to vote. I'll take my chances and vote on election day. The previous post was right on target. Even if you have an hour, please give it to Mark. Putting up signs, calling, walking whatever. Remember, you can also be a poll watcher on election day.

TA, does the Clerk's office report on who actually has voted?

dc if mark had a poll with that kind of numbers he would put it out to send the dccc a message before they make their last funding calls tomorrow.

It's really hard in Illinois to see that people would be out the door to vote for mccain or for anything related to the republican party, but there has been a ton of pro-mark press-chuck wenk in the hp news last week so we'll see.

Definitely felt better about beating gash in 2000.

I wonder how accurate the polls can be. If I get a call from "out of area", private caller, or unrecognized number, I do not answer. I am not the only person with caller id that follows this procedure. Therefore, the only people who respond to telephone polls are those without caller id. Hardly a cross section of the population.

Anon 4:01- I think the clerk does, but I have to confirm- the reason I think so is that the GOTV machines on both sides like to mine that data on a daily basis and then they don't have to call or mail with follow-ups.
